Matthew Green recently brought forward motions to make a further $400,000 investment into our Ward’s parks over the coming months.
“I believe that by investing in parks and playgrounds, and in particular in kids and families, our entire community benefits.”
On June 13th, Council approved a motion to invest in new playground construction and park improvements to Birge Park and Lifesavers Park, and a new multi-use court in Woodlands Park.
On July 13th, Council approved a motion to see funds invested for a new playground to be built at 430 Cumberland Avenue, and an installment of public art at the Century Street Parkette.
The public art installation will include input from Cathedral High School and the surrounding community, in addition to other community engagement.
