HSR to provide free late-night service on New Year’s Eve
HAMILTON, ON – In a continuing effort to improve the experience of our customers, HSR will offer free late-night service on select routes until approximately 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. This late night-service will ensure our customers have safe transportation home after they ring in 2018.
Customers can ride the HSR for free starting at 6 p.m. on December 31, 2017.
HSR will run all routes that typically run on Sundays on New Year’s Eve, with the last buses departing at approximately 2:30 a.m. Several routes will have increased service to come every 15-30 minutes.
Full schedules will be posted on www.hamilton.ca/hsr soon.
Extending service on New Year’s Eve is part of a broader strategy to build a more modern HSR service that improves customer experience, providing service that is customer-focused, safe and reliable.
HSR management would like to thank the transit union executive and our operators for working with us to make the late-night New Year’s Eve service possible.
“I want to thank the ATU and HSR Staff for being committed to providing residents with a safe, affordable and reliable late-night ride home on New Year’s Eve this year. If you’re planning to celebrate by raising a glass as you ring in 2018, I highly encourage you to put away your car keys, take advantage of this service, and use HSR as your safe ride home.”
